Reception to freedom fighters in Kathalia

On the occasion of the Victory Day, a reception to freedom fighters and their family members and a discussion meeting were held at the Upazila Parishad ground on Monday organized by the Kathalia Upazila Administration of Jhalakathi.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer Zahirul Islam presided over the events and Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land ) Sanjay Das, Thana Officer-in-Charge Mong Chenla, Kathalia Sonali Bank Manager Md. Rezaul Karim, , freedom fighter Md. Fazlul Haque Mridha, UP Panel Chairman Md. Nakirul Islam, Upazila BNP Acting President Md. Jalalur Rahman Akon, Upazila Islami Andolon President Mufti Bin Yamin, Upazila BNP General Secretary Md. Akhter Hossain Nizam Mirbahor, Upazila Jamaat Assistant Secretary Maulana Md. Mostazabur Rahman, General Secretary of Upazila Islami Andolon As Sayeed, President of Upazila Muktijoddha Sontan Command Md. Shakhawat Hossain Apu Sikder, among others spoke.
Other programs included 31 gun salutes, wreath-laying at the Central Shaheed Minar, officially hoisting the national flag, Bijoy Mela, women's rally, friendly football and kabaddi games, cultural programs and prize distribution.
