Victory Day celebrated in Bauphal

The 54th Victory Day was celebrated with various arrangements at the initiative of the Baufal Upazila administration of Patuakhali.
On Monday, the national flag was hoisted in all government, private, and semi-government institutions and the great Victory Day began with the firing of 31 cannons in the Upazila Parishad premises as the sun rose.
At around 8 am, the upazila administration, the brave freedom fighters, the police station, the leaders of the upazila BNP and its associate organizations,a section of the BNP led by former MP Shahidul Alam Talukder and its associate organizations, Bauphal Press Club, Reportas Unity,Bauphal Municipality,various educational institutions,NGOs, social and cultural, and various professional organizations paid tribute by placing flowers at the memorial.
On behalf of Jamaat-e-Islami, instead of offering flowers, they stood at the altar and prayed for the forgiveness of the souls of the martyrs. After that, a jazz music performance and the official hoisting of the national flag were held at the same place at 9 am.
The national flag was hoisted by Upazila Executive Officer Pratik Kumar Kundu. Officer-in-Charge (OC) of the police station Md. Kamal Hossain was present at the time. At 11 am, a reception was given to the family members of the brave freedom fighters and martyred freedom fighters in the Upazila Parishad hall room.
