 Durgapur Upazila BNP has announced partial committees in six out of seven unions . The term of the announced committee has been fixed for two years. However, it is learnt that the committee of one union has not been announced due to organizational complications.

Upazila BNP member secretary Professor Jobayed Hossain released the list of announced committees on social media on Thursday night.

The committee has been announced on a party pad bearing the signatures of Rajshahi District BNP Member Secretary Professor Bishwanath Sarkar, District BNP Member Saidur Rahman Montu, Upazila BNP Convener Kamruzzaman Aynal, and Member Secretary Professor Jobayed Hossain. Upazila BNP Member Secretary Professor Jobayed Hossain confirmed the matter of announcing the committee.

The newly announced committee has nominated Abdul Ali Master as the president and Rahidul Islam as the general secretary of Nowpara Union No. 1. Abul Kalam Pramanik as the senior vice president, Alhaj Golam Rabbani Kazi as the senior joint general secretary, and Deser Ali as the organizing secretary.

In Kishmat No. 2, Ganakor Union, Abdul Alim Sarkar has been nominated as the president, Jamir Uddin Molla as the general secretary, Lecturer Fazlur Rahman as the senior vice president, Bulbul Khandaker as the senior joint general secretary, and Sekender Ali as the organizing secretary.

In Pananagar Union No. 3, Khandaker Mozammel Haque has been nominated as the president, Rakib Uddin as the general secretary, Kazi Fazlur Rahman as the senior vice president, Rajibur Rahman as the senior joint general secretary, and Rahidul Islam Ripon as the organizing secretary.

In Deluabari Union No. 4, Abdus Sattar has been nominated as the president, Masud Rana as the general secretary, Jahangir Alam as the senior vice president, Alhaj Alif Uddin as the senior joint general secretary, and Shahidul Islam Lalbar as the organizing secretary.

In Jhaluka Union No. 5, Intaz Ali has been nominated as the president, Zillur Rahman as the general secretary, Belal Hossain as the senior vice president, Alimuddin as the senior joint general secretary, and Yunus Ali as the organizing secretary.

In addition, Mahabur Rahman Santu has been nominated as the president of Joynagar Union No. 7, Zakir Hossain as the general secretary, Shamsur Rahman as the senior vice president, Mostaq Ahmed Master as the senior joint general secretary, and Ruhul Amin as the organizing secretary.

Upazila BNP member secretary Professor Jobayed Hossain also said that although a partial committee has been given for now, a full committee of 71 members will be formed within 15 days and re-announced.

Earlier, the party organized a conference to form committees in each union. The conference candidates proposed their names for the posts. This partial committee was approved and announced after vetting the names of the candidates.

Meanwhile, due to organizational complications, the committee of Maria Union No. 6 has not been formed and announced. However, party sources have confirmed that the committee of Maria Union will be formed and announced soon.
