BRUR admin presents Eid items to Shaheed Abu Sayeed's family

Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Mohammad Shawkat Ali presented Eid items to the family of Shaheed Abu Sayeed, a student of Rangpur's Begum Rokeya University who was shot dead by police in July last year during the anti-discrimination student movement on Sunday.
The Vice-Chancellor met the family members of Shaheed Abu Sayeed at Babanpur village, Jafar Para, Madankhali Union, Pirganj Upazila, Rangpur and handed over various Eid items to Shaheed Abu Sayeed's father Maqbul Hossain on behalf of the university administration and inquired about the family members of Shaheed Abu Sayeed and exchanged views with them. Begum Rokeya University Registrar Dr. Harun-or Rashid was present at the time, among others.
Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Mohammad Shawkat Ali said, for the first time since the second independence was achieved through the July Revolution, the prices of daily necessities were at a tolerable level during the month of Ramadan.
This has been possible for those who laid down their lives in the July uprising like martyr Abu Sayeed. The families of the victims have not yet seen proper justice for the killers of all the martyrs in the July Revolution, including Abu Sayeed. If the speedy trial is completed and the maximum punishment is ensured for the guilty, the families of the martyrs of the July movement and the countrymen will feel more joy than Eid.
