Strike on southwest coast demanfing fairness in climate fund

A climate strike has been organized to demand the fairness of the Climate Fund and Bangladesh from the Climate Fund to Bangladesh in the coastal region of Bangladesh.
On Friday (April 11th), the youth of Padmapukur union of Shamnagar upazila of Satkhira expressed their solidarity with the global climate strike at 7am and held the climate strike and rally in various placards and festoons. The placards in their hands "the donation of the coast, the nature of the nature; the climate fair, our rights", "ensure climate justice. Protect the green earth", we want justice, climate justice "," reduce carbon emissions, save our future "," Want to use the right use of the Climate Fund ".
Shamnagar Upazila Youth Volunteer Coordination Committee, Green Solidarity, local population and private development organization Barsik participated in the strike organized by the Youth Voluntary Organization Sundarbans Student Solidarity Team (SST).
Speakers at the rally chaired by Dhiraj Kumar Mondal, president of the SSST Padmapukur unit, said the coastal area was severely affected by various natural disasters including cyclones, floods, salinity increase. As a result, the lives and livelihoods of the people here are under threat. They also said that developed countries responsible for climate change should be given adequate financial support to the affected countries. They also demanded that the transparency and accountability of the climate fund financing.
Environmental activist and Youth Climate Fighter Sam Osman Ghani Sohag, Member of Green Solidarity and Uttam Kumar Mondal, Member Secretary of SSS, spoke at the rally.
