Bulls among small ethnic groups in Kamalganj

In Kamalganj of Moulvibazar, bulls have been distributed among the beneficiaries under the integrated livestock development project aimed at improving the socio-economic and quality of life of the backward small ethnic groups living in the plains.

 

On Thursday (April 17) at 10 am, one  bull each was distributed among 52 beneficiaries of Rahimpur, Shamsernagar, Alinagar and Kamalganj municipal areas of the upazila through the Kamalganj Upazila Animal Resources Department and Veterinary Hospital, funded by the Ministry of Animal Resources.

Upazila Livestock Officer Dr. Rama Pad Dey, Upazila Fisheries Officer Shahidur Rahman, Upazila Livestock Extension Officer Dr. Rashedul Islam, Kamalganj Press Club convener MA Wahid Rulu,Member Secretary Ahmeduzzaman Alam and others were present as guests in the distribution ceremony.  Local media workers along with the beneficiaries were present at this time. 

 

Upazila Livestock Officer Dr. Rama Pad Dey said that bulls and bucking cows and cow houses will be constructed and food items will be distributed among 386 beneficiaries in the upazila.
