BNP National Executive Committee Co-Organizing Secretary (Barishal Division) Akon Kuddusur Rahman has commented that there is no compromise with fascists.
He made this statement as the chief guest at a prayer and supplication ceremony organized by the Barishal Sadar Upazila BNP at the city's Town Hall on Wednesday at 10 am to mark the 47th founding anniversary of the BNP.
At the same time, Akon Kuddus also said that those who are trying to make the party stronger with fascists are harming the party instead of benefiting it.
Some people have indulged in misdeeds by tarnishing the name of BNP. These will not be tolerated in any way. At the same time, he urged everyone to be ready for the upcoming February elections.
Meanwhile, BNP National Executive Committee member Abu Naser Muhammad Rahmatullah spoke as a special guest at the same meeting. He said that Bangladesh's democracy is safe in the hands of BNP. After the Liberation War, the fascist Awami League killed democracy in the country. Later, Ziaur Rahman re-established democracy. Then Ershad came and killed that democracy again. From there, Begum Khaleda Zia established democracy to save the country and the people.
Rahmatullah further said, after that, for 17 long years, democracy was killed through Awami fascism and people were held hostage by oppressing and torturing people across the country. BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has worked tirelessly for 17 long years to save the country from this fascism. Through which, the long-standing fascist Awami government was overthrown in the July 24 mass uprising. This time, democracy in the country will be restored by his hand.
He said, the country is safe in the hands of BNP. Every time BNP has come to power, peace has prevailed across the country through the establishment of democracy. The common people have got security. Therefore, the country will be safe and secure in the hands of BNP.
