BNP's 47th founding anniversary was celebrated in Tongibari, Munshiganj on Friday.
A rally, discussion meeting and prayer mahfil were organized by the Upazila BNP.
In the morning, leaders and activists from different unions of the upazila gathered in groups at the field adjacent to BT College. Later, a colorful procession rally was taken out with several thousand leaders and activists.
The rally started in front of Bikrampur Tongibari Degree College, circled Tongibari Bazar and ended at Baralia intersection.
Munshiganj District BNP Convener and former State Minister for Health Mizanur Rahman Sinha was present as the chief guest at the event. He said, “BNP has always worked to achieve the rights of the people and will continue to play an uncompromising role in restoring democracy and establishing people’s voting rights in the future.”
The program was presided over by Amir Hossain Dolan, member of the Munshiganj District BNP Convenor Committee and General Secretary of Tongibari Upazila BNP. Upazila BNP Vice-President Akter Hossain Molla moderated the program.
Habibur Rahman Chakladar (Apu), member of the Munshiganj District BNP Convenor Committee and member secretary of Louhajang Upazila BNP, was present as a special guest.
