Miscreants have hacked to death the wife of a Saudi expatriate after entering a house in Kalkini, Madaripur.
Pakhi Akhter, the wife of an expatriate, was killed by miscreants in Majhir Kandi area of Enayetnagar union in Kalkini upazila on Wednesday midnight.
The deceased Pakhi Akhter (28) is the wife of Sohag Hawlader, a Saudi Arabian expatriate from the same area.
Local and incident sources said that a group of miscreants threw stones at the house on Wednesday night.
At that time, the housewife screamed. Later, when housewife Pakhi Akhter's four-year-old son, Md. Aizan, opened the door of the house, the miscreants entered and hacked the Saudi expatriate's wife to death.
During the incident, Pakhi's son Aijan cleverly left the house and called the neighbors. The neighbors came and saw Pakhi's frozen body and informed the police.
Police recovered the body of the deceased and sent it to the morgue of the Madaripur 250-bed District Hospital for an autopsy.
Kalkini police said no case has been filed in this regard.
