The meeting was organized by Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Nilphamari District Branch on Saturday afternoon at Sky View Restaurant in the city.
The meeting was presided over by District Jamaat Amir Maulana Principal Abdus Sattar and conducted by District Secretary Maulana Ataijul Islam.
Among others, speeches were delivered by District Jamaat Nayeb-e-Amir Dr. Khairul Anam, Jamaat-nominated candidate for Nilphamari-2 constituency and District Jamaat Assistant Secretary Advocate Al Faruq Abdul Latif, District Jamaat Assistant Secretary and City Amir Professor Anayarul Islam, District Jamaat Executive Committee Member and Freedom Fighter Moniruzzaman Montu, Lecturer Abdul Qadim, District Branch President of Khelafat Majlish Maulana Saddam Hasan, President of Nilphamari Chairman Association Abdur Rouf Chowdhury, Additional PP of District Judge Court Adv Masharraf Hasan Mitu, and Principal Maulana Abdul Wahab Khan.
Speakers at the meeting said that if the July Certificate-Based system is not established, Bangladesh will fall into another conspiracy.
If the hopes and aspirations of the people of Bangladesh are not reflected, the country’s politics will face disaster. Therefore, keeping in mind the objectives behind the 24 Uprising, we believe the interim government will consider it seriously, not listen to anyone’s superficial words.
Regarding the PR system, speakers said that in the PR system, every vote will be evaluated; no vote will be wasted. The election will be free from violence, black money, and muscle power. Skilled and experienced politicians will get the opportunity to come to parliament. Jamaat-e-Islami, along with 26 other parties, is campaigning for this PR system.
