BSRC Iftar Mahfil held at JnU

JnU Correspondent

Bin Yamin Molla, President of Bangladesh Chhatra Odhikar Parishad (BSRC), stated that students have led all major movements in Bangladesh. People have responded to students’ calls for protests because they trust them.

He made this remark on Monday at a prayer and Iftar gathering organized by Jagannath University (JnU) Chhatra Odhikar Parishad in memory of the martyrs of the July Mass Uprising on Monday.

He further said, "After July, JnU students chanted the slogan 'Shob Shalara Batpar' because they are vocal against injustice. They do not compromise with wrongdoing. A student-friendly university requires a student union. On behalf of Chhatra Odhikar Parishad, we demand the election of the Jagannath University Central Students' Union (JnUCSU)."

The event was presided over by JnU Chhatra Odhikar Parishad President AKM Rakib. Among the attendees were JnU English Department Associate Professor Nasir Uddin Ahmed, JnU Chhatra Dal Convener Mehedi Hasan Himel, Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir Secretary Riazul Islam, Baisommobirodhi Chhatra Andolon Convener Masud Rana, Socialist Students' Front President Ivan Tahsib, and JnU Journalists' Association President Imran Husain.

It was conducted by JnU Chhatra Odhikar Parishad General Secretary Raihan Hasan Rabbi. Leaders and activists from various levels of the organization, along with university students, were present.
