A man named Mozahar Ali Beppari (1) was beaten on Wednesday evening after being hit by a stick in the market area of Gidar Union in Gaibandha Sadar upazila.
Sadar Police Station OC said on Thursday morning. Shaheenur Talukder confirmed the matter. The deceased was identified as Mojahar Ali, son of the deceased Ahak Ali of Beppara village of the union.
Locals and relatives of the victim said, Mozahar Ali Beppari bought 20 years of land from his father -in -law 20 years ago. But his father -in -law died before the land was document.
Mozahar Ali wants to deed the land to the two brothers -in -laws . But his they Lutfar Rahman and Nabir Hossain gave the date to the document many times, but he did not give it later.
Recently, Lutfar Rahman and Nabir Hossain came home from Dhaka workplace. At that time, Mozahar Ali, who wanted to document the land from the two schanges, continued to do various. Lutfar Rahman and Nabir Hossain hit Mozahar Ali with a stick between them and he fell to the ground. People rescued him at Gaibandha District Hospital with serious injuries and declared him dead.
Sadar Police Station Deputy Police Inspector (SI) Abdul Alim said the body was sent to the hospital morgue for autopsy. A case has been filed at the police station. Lutfar Rahman and Nabir Hossain have been absconding since the incident.
