Youth Festival rally led by DC in N'ganj

Under the theme "Let's Change the Country, Change the World," a procession was held in Narayanganj to celebrate Youth Festival 2025, focusing on cleanliness, achieving waste-free goals, mosquito control, and resolving waterlogging issues on Wednesdy at 10 AM, the procession began under the supervision of Narayanganj Deputy Commissioner (DC) Mohammad Zahidul Islam Mia, starting from the DC's office.
The rally passed through the court premises, circled Ling Road, and ended back at the DC's office.
The procession was presided over by DC Mohammad Zahidul Islam Mia, with notable attendees including Narayanganj Local Government Deputy Director Dr. Md. Moniruzzaman, Additional District Commissioner (General) Sakib Al Rabbi, District Civil Surgeon Dr. A.F.M. Mushiyur Rahman, renowned cultural personality Arif Mihir, and Chairman of the Human Welfare Council Md. Mannan Bhuiyan, along with officials from various levels of the DC's office.
Following the procession, a workshop was inaugurated at 10:30 AM in the DC's conference room, featuring students from schools across the four police stations of Narayanganj district.
To Prevent Accidents Human Chain Demands CC Cameras on Roads in Bandar
Students opposing discrimination and locals organized a human chain demanding traffic points and CC cameras on the Madanpur-Madangonj road in Bandar Upazila, Narayanganj, to prevent road accidents. They announced plans to block the road if order is not restored within seven days.
The human chain was held yesterday, Wednesday (January 22), in the Bandar bus stand area under the leadership of anti-discrimination student leader Sakil Hossain. Family members of Asad Mia, who died in a recent road accident, and locals joined the event.
Speakers at the human chain called for government rehabilitation for families of all victims, including Asad Mia, and restoring order on the roads.
Notable participants included student leaders Rifat Hossain Ontu, Hriday Bhuiyan, Shithil Bhuiyan, Sifat, Hossain, Aminul Sifat, and family members of Asad Mia, including his wife and son.
