Two stores fined by mobile court in Longadu

The mobile court fined two stores for overcharging of expired products and medicines at Mainimukh Bazar in Longadu, Rangamati
UNO and Executive Magistrate Kofi Uddin Mahmud conducted the Mobile Court at Mainimukh Bazaar of Longadu Upazila recently.
During raids on various shops in the market, the prices of medicines were increased under the Consumer Rights Protection Act 2009.
Master Pharmacy owner Ala Uddin was fined 15,000 taka and Ichamati store owner Md Farooq was fined 5,000 taka as the product expired.
The court warned the businessmen not to charge more than the fixed price and not to sell expired products.
