Bipul Chandra Howladar (Dainik Barishal Pratidin) and Advocate Md. Gofran Biswas Palash (The Country Today) have been elected unopposed as President and General Secretary respectively of Kalapara Press Club in Patuakhali.

Election Commissioner Nesser Uddin Ahmed Tipu announced the 11-member executive committee of the press club along with the president and general secretary after the biennial general meeting of the press club on Sunday (21 July) afternoon.

Others in the executive committee are Vice-President Mejbah Uddin Mannu (Janakantha), Joint General Secretary Mejbah Uddin Tuku (Chawkas), Finance Secretary Jasim Parvez (Ekhon Television), Office Secretary Milon Karmakar Raju (71 Television), Literature, Culture and Library Secretary. Nurul Kabir Jhunu (Dainik Gaodabi). In addition, member Md. Humayun Kabir (Dainik Barisaler Katha), Amal Mukherjee (Jugantar), Mohsin Parvez (Ittefaq), Biswas Shihab Parvez Mithu (Dainik Bangladesh Bani).

Meanwhile, State Minister for Disaster Management and Relief Md. Mohibbur Rahman MP, Upazila Parishad Chairman and Upazila Awami League Secretary Abdul Motaleb Talukdar, Upazila Women's Awami League Convenor Fatema Akhter Rekha, Kalapara Chowki Court Lawyers Welfare Association President Advocate Mojibur Rahman Chunnu, Kalapara Municipality Panel Mayor Md.
