After losing the position of the party in the case of encroachment of the government pond, the Central Dvisional Organizing Secretary of BNP Bilkis Jahan Shirin, has been now accused of occupying a three-storey house in Barishal.

ABM Salauddin Khan, owner of the house worth about two crore taka , is wandering around in a frenzy. Salahuddin is running away fearing Shirin's threats. Despite complaining to various government departments, he did not get redressal.

Salahuddin said that his mother Hasiyara Begum owned 3 percent of the land of Bogra Alekanda Mouzar JL 50, SA 8651 Khatian, Ward No. 16 of Barishal City Corporation. After his death three sons and three daughters are supposed to get the property according to inheritance. However, before the division of property, elder brother Mohiuddin Khan and sister Dalia Akhtar sold one percent of the land to Maria Akhtar Munni, wife of Shahidul Islam Shamim, younger brother of neighboring BNP leader Bilkis Jahan Shirin.

In this case, the condition is that as long as the old building remains on the land, Maria Akhter Munni will occupy the ground floor. After constructing the big building, the property share will be decided and distributed according to the partnership.

Part of Salauddin's second floor was occupied by the tenants and the remaining part by the family members of another brother deceased Moniruzzaman Kamal. In 2019, after buying one percent of the land of the house and occupying the ground floor, Munni took possession of the house by letting down the tenant. Saladin was threatened with death if he tried to prevent this incident. After this incident, he made a general diary at the police station on November 11 of that year.

Salauddin said, after that Shirin's brother started building three floors of the house. I filed a police complaint in that incident as well. In this regard, local councilors and dignitaries proved that they cannot occupy the entire house. Since then they do not listen to anyone. I was evicted from the house by buying 1 percent and occupying the entire building. Now he has built three floors and rented the ground floor. Bilkis Jahan Shirin actually rose here in Barisal.

Salahuddin said, former Mayor of City Corporation Abul Khair Abdullah's father-in-law's house and Shirin's house are next to each other. They have a good relationship with Shirin. Not only that, he has a deep friendship with Abul Hasanat Abdullah, Sadiq Abdullah. Because of this, during the period of Awami League, he started occupying my house openly. Then I complained to all departments including City Corporation. I was told by the City Corporation to compromise with Shirin. After the fall of the Awami League government, Shirin has single-handedly dominated Barisal. That's why I can't even stay in Barisal.

He said, "For the past five years, I have been traveling by road. I can not return home. Barishal is not allowed to stay. Come and hide and leave again. People of Bilkis Jahan Shirin will kill me if they see. I am not getting justice from any government office. Now the interim government is in power, so I have given a written complaint to the Divisional Commissioner, Police Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner, Army.

When Brown went to the compound area and searched for Shirin's house, the locals showed him the building which he had bought and occupied in the name of his younger brother Shamim's wife.

On the condition of anonymity, two building owners said that Shirin filled the official pond of Brown Compound with sand on the day of the fall of the Awami League government. When this information was reported to the army, Shirin and his associates abused the people of the area in unspeakable language. No one can speak for fear of Shirin. The house you live in is also occupied. Basically, Shirin bought all his properties in the name of his brother's wife to make himself a safe politician. He bought 1 percent of this house in the name of his brother's wife and occupied the entire house.

However, denying all the allegations, Bilkis Jahan Shirin said, I did not occupy any building. Arshad Manzil of Brown Compound is my father's house of almost 80 years. I live in this building. I have also heard that someone is complaining. My name was not written in that complaint. I wrote the name of one of my relatives. I don't know them.

He also said, after a few days, how many people will write more! Questioning whether these will continue, he said, those who do not work for the party, have taken advantage at different times, are connected with the Awami administration - they are doing these things. You will see that fish market, wharf, bus terminal have been taken over. I was with the party during the difficult times of Awami League. But those who were not with the party at that time would consider me a problem. These allegations are an attempt to tarnish my image.

Meanwhile, the complaint of ABM Salauddin has been confirmed from Barisal Metropolitan Police Commissioner's office and Divisional Commissioner's office. However, no official has spoken about it. They have informed that the complaint will be investigated.

Bilkis Jahan Shirin's party posts were suspended on August 11. The local BNP leaders said that the Center decided to suspend Shirin's post in connection with taking advantage from Awami League leade
