Devastating fire in LPG gas cylinder godown in Rupganj

A terrible fire broke out in the LPG gas cylinder godown of Balladius Business Solutions in Rupganj, Narayanganj. Two units of the fire service brought the fire under control after half an hour of effort.
The fire broke out in the Goalpara area of Sadar Union of the upazila on Sunday afternoon.
Warehouse Inspector of Purbachal Fire Service Al Masud said that at around 4:15 pm, a fire suddenly broke out in the LPG gas cylinder godown of Balladius Business Solutions owned by Golam Kibria at Milne Bari in Goalpara area of Rupganj.
Within a few moments, several gas cylinders stored in the godown exploded and the fire spread throughout the godown. Upon receiving the information, two units of the Purbachal Fire Service tried for about half an hour to bring the fire under control. At that time, a large number of filled and empty gas cylinders stored in the godown were burnt, causing huge damage, claimed the factory's masseur Zahirul Islam. However, no casualties were reported.
The fire service also said that it did not initially say how the fire started.
It is learned that for the past 4 years, Golam Kibria in Goalpara area of Tongi area has been renting a house in the house of Milon Mia and storing LPG gas cylinders and supplying gas to the surrounding areas from Sethan.
