In Biharipur village of Vadeshwar Union of Bahubal Upazila of Habiganj, the local residents protested against environmental pollution due to the smell of chicken hatchery garbage and garbage.

Due to the environmental disaster of the hatchery, the residents of half a hundred villages in the area are suffering from the infestation of flies. As the upazila administration did not take effective action despite submitting an application to remedy this, the local residents are observing a human chain from noon on Sunday.

According to the complaint, the foul smell of the garbage dump of the chicken hatchery of Quick Chicks in Biharipur has led to a serious increase in the infestation of flies. Abdul Haque, a resident of Baragao village, is serving as the manager of Biharipur Hatchery. They threaten victims with assault cases for speaking out against environmental pollution.

In this regard, several written complaints have been lodged with the Upazila Nirbahi Officer on behalf of the local residents, but they are not getting any benefit.

Recently, the environment has been polluted by the hatchery waste and the infestation of flies has increased. All classes of people living in villages are hungry. In this regard, the complaint signed by hundreds of people on behalf of the local residents was filed with the Upazila Nirbahi Officer on January 27. Confirming the matter, Upazila Executive Officer Md Ghiyasuddin said that the upazila Animal Resources Officer Dr. Akbar Ali was given the responsibility to submit the investigation report.

But investigating officer Akbar Ali secretly visited the hatchery on Saturday, February 1, without informing the complainants. The locals became more angry and called for a human chain in front of the hatchery on Sunday afternoon.
