Coordination meeting held on voter list update in Kapasia

A coordination meeting was held on the occasion of voter list update 2025 in Kapasia, Gazipur on Sunday at 11 am in the Upazila meeting room.
Upazila Executive Officer Executive Magistrate Tamanna Tasneem presided over the meeting, Upazila Election Officer Tamanna Rashid moderated the meeting, Upazila Social Service Officer Ruhul Amin, Upazila Engineer Mainuddin, Police Sub-Inspector Aminul Islam, Upazila Secondary Education Officer Arif Sarkar, Upazila Press Club President FM Kamal Fakir, Journalist Nurul Amin Sikder, among others.
The registration biometric voter list update program will start from next Wednesday (February 05) and will continue until next (February 25). Among these, biometric photos of reserve voters will be taken on the 26th, 27th and 28th. Speaking at the time, UNO Tamanna Tasneem said that the cooperation of people from all walks of life is needed to update the voter list. Those who will collect information by going door to door should be helped to provide accurate information.
Special attention should be paid to ensure that Rohingyas and Indians do not become voters in any way. In addition, if local journalists, public representatives and political party leaders are sincere, no Rohingyas and Indians will be included in the voter list. They cannot be voters in more than one place. If this list is compiled correctly, it will help in building a society without discrimination.
