DB police arrested one with 6-kg heroin in Rajshahi

Rajshahi DB police arrested a drug dealer with 6 kg 500 grams heroin from Kanlepara village under Godagari police station district of Rajshahi at 3 pm.
Arrested accused named Md Ejazul Haque Jhabu (28) He is son of Late Abdul Latif from village of Diar Manikchak under Godagari police station in Rajshahi.
In a press conference on Tuesday, Police Super said, DB SI (Unarmed) Md. Inamul Haque and others force were engaged in drug recovery at 2.30 pm on April 23 at Matkiata College Junction under Godagari Police Station and its nearby areas. At that time, based on secret information, they came to know that 2 persons were staying in Kalbaganare near Padma River for the purpose of selling heroin.
Later, on the instructions of the Superintendent of Police, the DB Police conducted a raid in the area and arrested the accused along with 13 white transparent polythene bags containing 6 kg of 500 grams of heroin, an illegal drug. However, one of his accomplices Md. Munriul Islam (40) managed to escape from the scene.
He is the son of Mannan Ali of Manikchak village of Godagari upazila. A case under Narcotics Control Act, 2018 has been submited against the arrested accused at Godagari police station.
