29,467 teenage girls to get HPV vaccines in Rangamati

Orientation on the occasion of Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) Vaccination Campaign 2024 was held at Rangamati.

29 thousand 467 teenage girls in Rangamati will be vaccinated against HPV in the HPV vaccination campaign that will start from October 24.

27 thousand 900 teenage girls of 5th to 9th class in 955 educational institutions of 50 unions of the district and 1 thousand 567 teenage girls aged 10-14 years outside the educational institutions will be given HPV vaccination.

Out of 18 working days of this campaign, the first 10 days of vaccination will be done at school level and permanent immunization centers and the remaining 8 days will be done at permanent immunization centers.

This information was given in the press conference organized on the occasion of HPV vaccination campaign in the conference room of the Civil Surgeon's office on Wednesday (October 23) at 1 pm.

Rangamati Civil Surgeon Nuen Khisa presented the overall action plan for the HPV campaign. At this time, World Health Organization Chittagong Division Consultant Dr. Tanvir Hossain was present. Besides, print and electronic media journalists of the district were present in the press conference.
