Bangladesh Jan-Adhikar Party Chairman Mohammad Ismail Samrat told the interim government Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus that the election system in Bangladesh is broken, you should reform the election system, the voting rights of the people of Bangladesh were destroyed, restore the voting rights. If any election is held without judging the genocidal perpetrators who were actually involved in the genocide, then it will be a farce with the people of this country.

He said, we have seen many people talking in different tones, that the Awami League that will be allowed to participate in the elections has not been banned. We will say that no one can be given the opportunity to vote without judging the genocide. That would be dishonesty with the nation, nothing but a betrayal of the people of Bangladesh.

He made these remarks as the chief guest at the biennial conference of the Bangladesh Jan-Adhikar Party Noakhali district branch at the Town Hall in Noakhali district town on Thursday afternoon.

Ismail Samrat also said, although it is said that this government is a revolutionary government, this government is the government of the 24th mass uprising. But this government is not with the people, it is a government that is alienated from the people. This government has not been able to prosecute the genocide so far, this government has not been able to control the law and order and the prices of goods.

Commenting that local elections should not be held under any circumstances before the national elections, he said, the distance between the army chief and the government, these distances must be overcome and power must be transferred to the people's government by holding free and impartial elections by next December. Otherwise, the people will also take a public stand against this government and the outside forces will rise up again. Since this government is the fruit of the revolution of the students and the people through a mass uprising, we will cooperate with the government for the speedy national elections after the trial of the genocide.

The conference was chaired by the Convener of Noakhali District Branch of the Bangladesh Jan-Odhikar Party, Moudud Ahmed, and among others, the District Branch Member Secretary Md. Saif, the Kabirhat Upazila Branch Convener Md. Abdul Mannan, the Joint Convener Mohammad Abdul Hamid, and district and upazila level leaders spoke.

At this time, leaders and activists of various upazilas and municipalities including the Noakhali District Branch of the Bangladesh Jan-Odhikar Party were present.
