
World Teachers' Day celebrated in Kamalganj

"Respect for teachers and commitment to improving the quality of education" with this slogan,the World Teachers' Day was celebrated in Kamalganj, Moulvibazar.
A rally was organized by the Kamalganj Upazila Secondary Teachers' Association on Sunday morning from in front of the Upazila Administration Office.
The rally walked through the Upazila Parishad premises and ended at the same place. Later, a discussion meeting was held in the Upazila Parishad conference room. Kamalganj Upazila Nirbahi Officer Makhon Chandra Sutradhar was the chief guest at the meeting, chaired by Satyendra Kumar Pal, President of the Kamalganj Upazila Secondary Teachers' Association.
The discussion, moderated by Habibur Rahman, General Secretary of Kamalganj Upazila Secondary Teachers' Association, was attended by writer and researcher Ahmed Siraj, head teacher Abdus Sobhan, Mihir Dhar Chowdhury, Abdul Momin, Md. Khurshed Ali, lecturer of Safat Ali Madrasa Md. Selim Chowdhury, assistant head teacher Md. Azadur Rahman, Convener of Kamalganj Press Club M. A. Wahid Rulu and Member Secretary Ahmeduzzaman Alam.
The speakers in the discussion said that everyone should work together to improve the quality of education, the future of the nation is built with the help of teachers. Therefore, they called on all teachers to come forward to develop the students with proper knowledge, morality and humanity.
Teachers and journalists from various educational institutions of the upazila were present at the time.
