At this time, General Secretary of Bangladesh Health Assistant Association Rajbari District Branch Md. Sirajul Islam delivered a speech presenting a 6-point demand.

The health assistants complained that they have been facing discrimination for a long time. Although the authorities assured them of meeting their demands, they did not implement them. Therefore, they were forced to stop all activities including EPI from October 1 and go on an indefinite strike.
Their main demands include amendment of the recruitment rules, in-service training, and upgradation to grade 14. They announced that the movement will continue until their demands are met.
