World Population Day celebrated in Betagi

The World Population Day was celebrated today in Betagi under Barguna district with diverse programmes centered around this year's national theme: "Let's realize the hopes and aspirations of youth, build a beautiful tomorrow with today's commitment."
To mark the occasion, a seminar and an award presentation ceremony were organized at midday in the Upazila Complex Auditorium. UNO Muh. Saddam Hossain presided over the session, while the UHFPO Dr. Md. Delwar Hossain, delivered the welcome address.
The event was attended by special guests, including the Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Betagi Police Station, Md. Harun-or-Rashid Haldar, former General Secretary of Betagi Upazila BNP, Jalilur Rahman Khan Nanna, and Professor Shafiqul Islam of Betagi Government College.
During the discussion, speakers emphasized that utilizing the energy and merit of the youth is absolutely essential for national development and building a stable future. They stated that a prosperous tomorrow can only be forged by fulfilling the aspirations of today's young generation.
Honorary crests and certificates were presented to 5 top-performing field workers and 1 public representative across various categories in recognition of their outstanding contributions to public healthcare and family welfare services. The event was attended by upazila health complex officials, medical staff, media professionals, and local dignitaries.
