Barguna District Law and Order Committee meet held : Coordinated efforts urged to combat drugs, dengue, waterlogging

The monthly meeting of the Barguna District Law and Order Committee was held at 11:00 AM on Sunday at Subarna Jayanti Auditorium of the DC Office. Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate Ms. Taslima Akter presided over the session.
The minutes of the previous meeting and the current agenda were presented by Sajal Chandra Shil, Additional District Magistrate and Administrator of Barguna Municipality.
In her presidential address, DC Ms. Taslima Akter said., the district administration, Police Department, and the Department of Narcotics Control (DNC) are executing joint anti-drug drives to maintain a stable law and order situation. She urged public agencies and citizens to work collaboratively to prevent the spread of measles and dengue, while actively addressing municipal waterlogging.
The review meeting was addressed by prominent local figures, including Zila Parishad Administrator and District BNP Convener Nazrul Islam Molla, Superintendent of Police Md. Kudrat-E-Khuda, Deputy Director of Local Government A.S.M. Kashem, Civil Surgeon Dr. Abul Fattah, Public Prosecutor Advocate Nurul Amin, District BNP Member Secretary Humayun Hasan Shahin, District Secretary of Islami Andolan Bangladesh Abdur Shakur, District Press Club President Md. Hafizur Rahman, and District Commandant of Ansar and VDP Uzzal Kumar Paul, along with various public officials and community leaders.
The session featured comprehensive discussions on regional security, drug eradication, public health safety, dengue containment, and drainage management. The participants unanimously emphasized the importance of institutional synchronization to uphold peace and discipline across Barguna district.
