
World No Tobacco Day celebrated in Rangamati

World No Tobacco Day was celebrated in Rangamati with the slogan of resisting the interference of the copper company, ensuring the safety of children.
On Friday morning at 10:30 a.m., a discussion was held on the occasion of this day in the conference room of the District Commissioner organized by the district administration.
In the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner said that the main objective of Tobacco Free Day is to create awareness among the public about the dangers of tobacco. Tobacco is not only harmful to health, but also causes economic, social and environmental damage. So to save yourself and to save your family and society you have to avoid tobacco. Avoid drugs and tobacco and play a supportive role in building a drug and tobacco free Bangladesh.
In the beginning, an awareness rally started in front of the Deputy Commissioner's office and circled the various roads of the city and ended at the Deputy Commissioner's office.
Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Mosharraf Hossain Khan presided over the meeting. Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education and ICT) Nasreen Sultana, District Civil Surgeon Nuen Khisa, Additional Superintendent of Police (Sadar Circle) Md Zahidul Islam and representatives of various institutions and students were present in the meeting.
