Wife murdered, husband arrested in Dohazari

A housewife named Nurhaba (25) was murdered by her Rohingya husband with a spade in Dohazari Municipality of Chandanaish Upazila of Chittagong.
The tragic incident took place at around 8 am on Wednesday n the Ullapara area of Dohazari Municipality.
The deceased, Nurhaba, and her accused husband, Md. Selim (27), are both Rohingya citizens.
According to local sources, during an argument between the husband and wife over some issue in the morning, the husband, Md. Selim, got angry and started beating his wife, Nurhaba, with a spade in the house. As a result, she was seriously injured.
Later, local residents quickly rescued her and took her to Dohazari 31-bed hospital, where the on-duty doctor Tipu Majumder declared her dead. Locals arrested the killer's husband, Md. Selim Uddin, and handed him over to the police.
Chandanaish Police Station OC Didarul Islam Sikder said that legal proceedings are underway at Chandanaish Police Station in this regard.
