Upazila admin fined 3 institutions for preparation, reserves of unhealthy food in Boalkhali

The mobile court has fined three companies on allegations of food production in unhealthy environment in Boalkhali in Chattogram, useless salt use and expired food supply.
Boalkhali UNO Mohammad Rahmat Ullah conducted the raid on Tuesday in the area adjacent to the upazila and Kanungopara Bazar.
In the expedition, al -Qutubia was fined Tk 50,000. Milan Suites of Kanungopara Bazar Tk 30,000 and Shuvo Suites Tk 20,000.
UNO Mohammad Rahmat Ullah said that the fine was imposed on multiple complaints such as reserves for food production in the bake, useless salt use, applying harmful color in food, conservation of food in unhealthy environment and sale of expired food.
He added that the fine was imposed in accordance with the Consumer Rights Protection Act 2009. Such campaigns in the public interest will continue in the future Upazila sanitary inspector Titu Kanti Pal and Boalkhali Police Station assisted in the operation.
