Tidal water entered thru' broken embankment in Dhulaghat-Matarbari areas

The tidal water has risen abnormally and  entered the local area of Matarbari-Dhulaghat through the broken embankment. The residents are living in fear.
 
In various areas including Matarbari's Site Para, Jele Para, Sairardail, and Dhulaghat's Soraitala, Sapmarar Dail, Muhurighona, over a hundred houses and the residents are at risk. There is a fear of earthen walls collapsing.
 
Mohammad Siraj from the Soraitala area of Dhulaghat said, "We live close to the Bay of Bengal, and due to the lack of a proper embankment, as soon as the tidal water rises, it enters the residential area through the embankment. As a result, we live in fear."
 
Rahim Uddin from Matarbari Jele Para said, "We live at the risk of our lives; when the tidal water rises, continuous heavy rainfall, and cyclones occur, we suffer from insecurity, and danger can come at any moment."
 
Locals said that due to the lack of a proper embankment, the residents of Dhulaghat and Matarbari are suffering from insecurity. The government needs to pay attention to the construction and repair of a proper embankment.
