A rally and discussion meeting was held at the district level on the occasion of World Breastfeeding Week 2025 at Civil Surgeon's Office on Monday.
The meeting was presided over by Feni District Civil Surgeon Dr. Mohammad Rubaiyat Bin Karim.
Among the guests present were Dr. Mohiuddin Ahmed, Superintendent of 250-bed General Hospital Feni, Dr. Md. Saiful Islam, Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer of Sadar Upazila Health Complex, District Information Officer, District Detective Police Officer, Deputy Director Family Planning Representative, District Education Officer Representative, District Primary Education Officer, Deputy Director of Islamic Foundation, school students and their teachers, and officials and employees of the District Health Department.
The meeting discussed in detail the necessity of breast milk and the rules and regulations set by the government for the purchase, sale and promotion of formula milk as an alternative to breast milk and the provisions for punishment in case of violation.
