The 8th founding anniversary of BNP was celebrated on Monday in Gaibandha through various programs in the colourful event.
The programs incude the hoisting of national and party flags at the party office in the morning, the founder of the party, the portrait of Ziaur Rahman.
A colourful rally and discussion meeting and Doa Mahfil were held. BNP, Jubo Dal, Volunteer Party, Chhatra Dal, Workers Dal, Zia Parishad, Swechchhasebak Dal and leaders of various organizing organizations participated.
District President Prof Dr. Mainul Hasan Sadiq presided over the meeting and general secretary Mahmudunnabi Titul spoke on the occasion. Shahiduzzaman Shahid, Abdul Awal Arju, Organizational Secretary Mosharraf Hossain Babu, Adv. Manzoor Morshed Babu and Anisur Rahman Nasim were present.
The speakers said that through free and fair elections, the sacrifice of the martyrs in the movement to restore democracy in the last one -and -a -half -year -old will be worthwhile.
