A sudden, strong storm hit Kaliganj Upazila of Lalmonirhat this Sunday at about 9 AM. The powerful winds caused a lot of damage.
The storm lasted for about half an hour and destroyed more than 100 homes and shops.
A very strong, sudden storm hit Kaliganj. It blew the tin roofs off many houses and smashed many shops in just minutes. The storm also broke electric poles and pulled up trees, so now many areas have no power. Families whose homes were ruined are now staying outside. The local government has promised to help them fast.
