A special workshop on parliamentary debate was organized by the BAUET Debating Society at Bangladesh Army University of Engineering & Technology (BAUET), says a press release.

The workshop was held on Monday at the university's Skylight Hall.

The event was graced by the presence of the university's Vice-Chancellor, Brigadier General Md. Mizanuzzaman, as the Chief Guest.

In his speech, the Vice-Chancellor said, "This debate workshop has greatly benefited the students as debate fosters intellectual growth. The knowledge gained from this workshop will be helpful for students in their future careers."

Also present at the event were the Dean of the Faculty of Law and Advisor to the BAUET Debating Society, Professor Dr. Md. Shahidul Islam, and Lecturer of the Department of Sociology, Assistant Advisor to the Debating Society, Arifa Sultana and Md. Ashraful Islam

The workshop was conducted by Khandaker Monasib Faisal, former president of Rajshahi Debate Forum and Chief Coordinator and Station In-charge of Radio Baral 99.0 FM, as the chief trainer. Through this workshop, students were able to learn various aspects of parliamentary debate. A friendly debate was also held during the event.

The program began with a welcome speech by Professor Dr. Md. Shahidul Islam, the Dean of the Faculty of Law and Advisor to the BAUET Debating Society, followed by speeches from President Sadman Ahmed Turjo and General Secretary Tania Sultana Mim.

The event was hosted by Hridita Razzak from the Department of Business Administration.

At the end of the program, the chief guest presented a crest to the trainer and distributed certificates to the participants.
