Shamima Ara Chowdhury appointed new Chairman of Rajshahi Education Board

Professor Dr. Shamima Ara Chowdhury has been appointed as the Chairman of the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Rajshahi.
According to a notification issued by the Secondary and Higher Education Division of the Ministry of Education on Monday.
Professor Dr. Shamima Ara Chowdhury was assigned the responsibility of serving as the Chairman of the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Rajshahi.
Prior to this appointment, she had been serving as the Secretary of the Rajshahi Education Board since January 16, 2025.
She earned her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in History from the Rajshahi University. She is an officer of the 16th BCS (General Education) Cadre.
Professor Dr. Chowdhury is also a skilled Assistant Leader Trainer (ALT) of Rover Scouts and has been actively working with the . In addition, she is currently serving as the Rover Commissioner of Rajshahi District Rover Scouts.
Since the beginning of her professional career, she has been actively involved with the organization representing the BCS (General Education) Cadre. At present, she is serving as a Joint Convener of the BCS (General Education) Association.
