Shaheed Zia Memorial Gold Cup Football Tournament Inaugurated in Bandarban

The Shaheed Zia Memorial Football Tournament '25 has started in Bandarban at the initiative of the District Football Association (DFA) on Wednesday afternoon.
District BNP Member Secretary and District Football Association (DFA) Convener Md. Javed Reza formally inaugurated the football tournament by releasing pigeons and balloons at the local Rajarmath in Bandarban as the chief guest.
Among others, District BNP senior leaders Jasim Uddin Tushar, Rital Biswas, Tournament Steering Committee Convener Shahadat Hossain Joni, Jubo Dal President Zahir Uddin Masum and others were present.
During the inauguration, the chief guest Jabed Reza said, "This Shaheed Zia Memorial Gold Cup Football Tournament is named after the founder of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party, Shaheed Ziaur Rahman." He requested the players and spectators to complete this football tournament smoothly and beautifully from start to finish.
The organizing committee said that 12 teams from seven upazilas of the district have participated in the Shaheed Zia Memorial Football Tournament. Victorious Vikings and Maidang Tripura Ekdas participated in the inaugural game.
Meanwhile, hundreds of spectators from different areas of the district gathered at the field premises to watch the inaugural game.
