Narayanganj Metropolitan Jamaat-e-Islami held a press conference ahead of the arrival of Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman. The press conference was organized at Narayanganj Press Club on Wednesday at 10 AM.

The event was presided over by Narayanganj Metropolitan Jamaat Ameer Muhammad Abdul Jabbar. Also present were Narayanganj Metropolitan Jamaat Secretary Engineer Manowar Hossain, Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir Central President Saiful Alam, former Narayanganj Metropolitan Jamaat Ameer and Central Council Member Saiful Alam Khan Milon, District Jamaat Assistant Secretary Abu Sayeed Munna, Metropolitan Jamaat Secretary Muhammad Jamal Hossain, and Assistant Secretary H.M. Nasir Uddin, among others.

During the press conference, the convenor of the Public Meeting Implementation Committee and Narayanganj Metropolitan Jamaat Ameer Muhammad Abdul Jabbar stated that on February 7, a grand public gathering would be held at Osmani Municipal Stadium in Narayanganj, organized by Narayanganj District and Metropolitan Jamaat-e-Islami. The chief guest of the event will be Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman.

He further stated, *"Narayanganj faces many challenges, but it also holds immense potential. If we can address the challenges and harness the possibilities, we can transform Narayanganj into a model city of development and prosperity, InshaAllah. A Narayanganj free from gang violence, immoral activities, drug abuse, extortion, and land grabbing; a city without unemployment; a city that is livable, safe, and free from discrimination, where everyone has job opportunities—this is our vision. On February 7, we will present this vision to the people of Narayanganj through a massive public meeting, organized by Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami's Narayanganj Metropolitan and District branches."*

He also added, *"The chief guest of the public meeting will be the Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and a prominent leader of the global Islamic movement, the oppressed people's leader, Dr. Shafiqur Rahman. He will address the people of Narayanganj with a crucial speech. Central, district, and metropolitan leaders will also share important discussions. We expect the gathering to turn into a sea of people. This public meeting will be a strong warning against terrorists, extortionists, oppressors, and land grabbers. It will symbolize a united Bangladesh for the people of Narayanganj and beyond. We urge all members of our organization, well-wishers, and the general public to attend in large numbers and raise their voices against criminals and oppressors. We seek the cooperation of the media, the administration, and the people of Narayanganj to make this public gathering a success."*

When asked by journalists whether there were concerns about sabotage by ruling party affiliates, Muhammad Abdul Jabbar responded, *"The greatest strength of political parties in this country is that the people remain united against fascism. If they (the ruling party) have any plans, if they possess any sense of wisdom, they will not attempt such actions. With all necessary administrative preparations in place, we are confident that this public meeting will be a success.
