Seminars and exhibitions on application and extension of locally invented technology have been held in Nakla upazila of Sherpur district on Monday.

The seminar was held at the Upazila Parishad auditorium. The seminar and exhibition were implemented by the Upazila Administration and Bangladesh Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (BCSIR). The program was organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology.

Upazila Nirbahi Officer Dip Jahn Mitra presided over the Seminars and exhibitions inaugural ceremony, when Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education and ICT) Mohammad Rajib-ul-Ahsan present as the chief guest.

Assistant Commissioner (Land) Md. Jewel Mia conducted the program and Bangladesh Council for Scientific and Industrial Research Scientific Officer Md. Mehedi Hasan spoke as the special guest.

It was informed at the program that the exhibition was organized at the Upazila level with the aim of making people scientific minded and disseminating locally invented technology in remote areas.

After the discussion at the seminar, the guests visited various exhibition stalls on application and extension of locally invented technology.

At the end of the exhibition, certificates of excellence were awarded to the heads of the offices and institutions of the best exhibition stalls as decided by the judges.

Officials of various government offices working in the upazila, Heads of different educational institutions, NGO representatives, Leaders of the Nakla Press Club, Local journalists of different media and Students of various educational institutions were present in the program.
