Search committee formed to appoint director in DU CARS

A 3-member search committee was convened headed by Dean of the Faculty of Earth and Environmenttal Science Prof Kazi Matin Uddin Ahmed on Wednesday.
Other members of the committee are retired Professor of Botany Dr Jinnatun Nesa Tahmida Begum and Professor of Electrical and Electronic Engineering Department. Md. Adnan Kiber. This search committee will recommend the name of a person for appointment as director of CARS based on knowledge, wisdom, skills and experience.
It is to be noted that, recently, the process of appointing directors in higher research centers through the search committee of Dhaka University has started in a specialized way and on the basis of transparency. As a part of this process, a search committee consisting of 3 eminent retired professors of Dhaka University has already been formed to appoint the Director of Higher Social Science Research Center.
There is a plan to appoint directors in other research centers through the formation of search committees periodically with the aim of making the teachers interested in research and encouraging them to excel in the research activities of various faculties of Dhaka University.
