Science and Tech Secretary Anwar Hossain meets IAEA DDG Margaret Doane in Vienna

Science and Technology Ministry Secretary Md. Anwar Hossain met with Margaret Doane, Deputy Director General and Head of the Department of Management at the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), in Vienna, Austria, on Wednesday to discuss expanding internship and employment opportunities for Bangladeshi students and professionals.
During the bilateral meeting held on Wednesday in Vienna, Secretary Md. Anwar Hossain highlighted the importance of increasing IAEA internships, professional training programs, and career placement opportunities for Bangladeshi citizens, particularly public officials, researchers, and young science professionals.
The two officials discussed strategies to deepen institutional collaboration, build human resource capacity, and enhance Bangladesh's technical capabilities in the peaceful applications of nuclear science and technology.
Permanent Representative and Ambassador of Bangladesh to Austria Toufiq Hasan and Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission Chairman Dr. M. Moinul Islam were also present during the discussion on Wednesday.
