Preparatory meeting held for Bangladesh AI Business Summit -2026
A preparatory meeting was held at the Ministry of Science and Technology in the Bangladesh Secretariat on Sunday to review and coordinate overall preparations for the upcoming "Bangladesh AI Business Summit 2026."
The summit, jointly organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI), is scheduled to take place on November 5.
Secretary to the Ministry of Science and Technology Md. Anwar Hossain presided over the session, which was attended by conveners and member-secretaries of various sub-committees alongside senior ministry officials. Representatives from DCCI joined the meeting via a virtual platform to present recommendations regarding exhibition arrangements, panel discussions, participant coordination, and overall logistical management.
The meeting reviewed the progress of preparatory activities and discussed strategies for developing Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies, expanding AI applications in business, promoting innovative enterprises, and building effective linkages between industry and academic institutions.
Over 100 AI-based startups and innovative ventures will participate in the summit exhibition. Participating entrepreneurs will showcase AI-driven products, services, and practical technological solutions to raise public awareness, present domestic innovations, and build network connections with potential investors and corporate partners.
The summit will feature three primary panel discussion sessions covering AI advancements, commercial applications, innovation, and future prospects.
Secretary Md. Anwar Hossain directed all sub-committees and stakeholders to execute their designated responsibilities efficiently, ensuring seamless inter-agency coordination and participant engagement.
The inaugural session of the summit is scheduled to be held at the Hall of Fame in the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Centre (BCFCC) in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, Dhaka, at 10:00 am on November 5, with President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir consenting to attend as chief guest. Minister for Science and Technology Fakir Mahtab Anam, MP, and DCCI leadership are also scheduled to address the opening session.
