School feeding program to be expanded across country next year: Bobby Hajjaj

Minister for Primary and Mass Education Bobby Hajjaj said that the school feeding program will be expanded across the country next year. Currently, this year, the pilot program of this school feeding program is underway in some upazilas of the country. Further progress will depend on its success. However, he expressed satisfaction that this program is already yielding positive results.
He said this at a press briefing after a day-long training workshop organized on classroom management, monitoring, accountability and administrative structure reform in primary education in Bangladesh with TOs, ATOs and instructors of Rangpur Division at the Rangpur Primary Education Training Institute PTI auditorium on Sunday. During this time, the State Minister inspected the model schools prepared by the trainees.
In the training workshop held under the chairmanship of Rangpur Deputy Commissioner Israt Jahan, Director General of the Department of Primary and Mass Education, Ms. Shahina Ferdousi, Joint Secretary of the Department of Primary and Mass Education, Israt Jahan, Director of the Department of Primary Education, Kamrul Hasan, among others, spoke.
He also said that the government is working towards ensuring world-class primary education in Bangladesh. He assured that the local administration will ensure risk allowance for TIOs and ATOs to overcome the crisis in performing their duties in remote areas of the country.
