Removal of illegal dredger pipe in Dohar, fined Tk 50,000

The upazila administration has conducted a drive in the Narayanpur area of Mahmudpur Union in Dohar Upazila of Dhaka on charges of illegally operating a dredger.
In addition to removing the illegal dredger pipe during the operation, a person named Md. Matin (50) was fined Tk 50,000.
The operation was conducted on Wednesday noon in the area adjacent to the Ashrayan project in Mahmudpur Union of the upazila.
The operation was led by Dohar Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Mobile Court Magistrate Nawsina Arif.
Sources related to the operation said that Md. Matin, son of Ismail Fakir of Narayanpur area of Mahmudpur union, was operating a dredger without permission. After the matter was caught, he was fined Tk 50,000. At the same time, the illegally installed dredger pipes were removed.
Kusumhati Union Land Office Assistant Land Officer Matiur Rahman, SI Shafiqul Islam and other officials and employees of the Upazila Land Office were present at the time.
