Rangpur Jamaat- Shibir Leaders Released from Case

After 11 years in Rangpur, 41 leaders and activists of Jamaat-e-Islami and Islami Chhatra Shibir, including former central president of bangladesh Islami Chhatrashibir, Delwar Hossain Saeedi and Rajibur Rahman Palash, have been acquitted.

Judge Zulkar Nain of Senior Judicial Magistrate Court-1 of Rangpur gave this order on Tuesday evening, October 22, According to case, on February 18, 2013, the then SI Shahadat Hossain of Rangpur Metro Kotali Police Station filed a case under the Speedy Trial Act of 2002 for allegedly vandalizing a vehicle requisitioned by the police. At that time, the blockade program of BNP-Jamaal was going on.

When the trial started after the case, the court accepted the testimony of 12 people in a long hearing. As the charges against the defendants were not proven in the court, the judge acquitted them of the case. According to the judge's order, the former central president of Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir, Delwar Hossain Saeedi, Rajibur Rahman Palash and the former president of Rangpur metropolitan branch of Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir and currently the secretary of the Rangpur metropolitan branch of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, advocate Kawshar Ali, along with 41 leaders and workers of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir, have been acquitted.
