Rangamati Pourashava launches dengue prevention programme in Rangamati

The number of dengue patients is constantly increasing in the Rangamati hill district.
Rangamati municipality has started a month-long programme to prevent dengue and prevent the spread of Aedes mosquitoes.
Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Mosharraf Hossain Khan inaugurated this program at the district administration office on Thursday (October 24) at noon. Rangamati Municipality Administrator Nasreen Sultana, Executive Officer Atiqur Rahman, Conservancy Inspector Dolan Barua etc. were also present.
The speaker said that this program is being conducted so that the Aedes mosquito cannot spread in the Rangamati municipal area. The list is being sent to the municipality by identifying the area of the patients from the health department. Those areas are being sprayed as per that list. As well as this in other areas
Activities are being conducted.
On the first day, several teams are working in the reserve mouth, DC's bungalow, jail, police line area of the 2nd ward of the municipality. Earlier, a discussion meeting on dengue prevention was held in the Deputy Commissioner's meeting room.
In the discussion meeting everyone was informed about awareness and other preventive measures such as keeping houses and surroundings clean so that Aedes mosquitoes cannot breed.
According to the Civil Surgeon's Office, 32 dengue patients have been found in Rangamati in the last five months.
