CCC Mayor BNP leader Dr Shahadat to take oath on Nov 3

Chattagram City Corporation Mayor and BNP leader Dr Shahadat Hossain will take oath on November 3.
This iwas informed in an office order signed by the Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Local Government, Mahbooba Irene on Thursday.
The swearing-in will be held at 11:30 am on Sunday, November 3. Therefore, it has been asked to send the affidavit containing the property details of Shahadat to the local government department within the next two days.
This information was revealed in a separate letter signed by Deputy Secretary of Local Government Department, Mahbooba Irene.
In that letter, the Chief Executive Officer of Chasik has also been urgently asked to know whether there is any court suspension or legal complications in this regard.
Incidentally, on January 27, 2021, elections were held in Chittagong City Corporation. Awami League candidate Rezaul Karim Chowdhury was declared the winner by the returning officer after the polling in the midst of shootings, clashes and attacks throughout the day. At that time, BNP candidate Dr. Shahadat Hossain. On February 24, 2021, Shahadat Hossain, the former convenor of Nagar BNP, filed a case against 9 people in the election tribunal for rigging the election.
On October 17 Dr. Election Tribunal declared Shahadat Hossain as the Mayor of Chittagong City Corporation as the winner.
