Cervical cancer prevention vaccination programme inaugurated in Jhalkathi

Vaccination programme to prevent cervical cancer among school-going and out-of-school girls has been inaugurated in Jhalkathi.
Jhalkathi District Commissioner Ashrafur Rahman inaugurated this programme at the collectorate school of the city on Thursday morning. Superintendent of Police Ujjal Kumar Roy was the special guest on the occasion presided over by Civil Surgeon Doctor HM Zahirul Islam.
Jhalkathi District Health Department organizes this program. In the district this year 5th to 9th class students and 32 thousand 452 girls outside educational institutions will be given this vaccination. In order to make the vaccination program successful, awareness meetings are held at different places in the district.
