Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Rangpur district and metropolitan branch office was inaugurated on Thursday afternoon with great enthusiasm in the presence of hundreds of leaders and workers after being closed for 12 long years. After a long time, the Jamaat leaders and workers were overwhelmed with emotion when they met each other at the Rangpur Jamaat office. They became emotional andhugged each other. It was as if were a joy of Eid Day.

The opening ceremony of Jamaat office located in the busiest Shapla Chattar area of Rangpur was conducted by Rangpur Mahanagar Jamaat Secretary Principal Obaidullah Salafi and presided over by Rangpur Jamaat Mahanagar Nayebe Ameer Professor Anwarul Islam. Maulana Mumtaz Uddin, member of the central working council of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and Assistant director of Rangpur-Dinajpur region, spoke as the chief guest. Among others, Rangpur District Jamaat Secretary Maulana Enamul Haque, Jamaat leader Anwarul Haque Kajal, Professor Raihan Siraji and Rangpur Mahanagar Shibir President Golam Zakaria etc. spoke.

The chief guest was filled with emotion in his speech and said, "Millions of thanks to Allah that he has saved our beloved Bangladesh from the hands of a tyrant. Today we have the opportunity to speak freely under the open sky. This office of ours was not only looted, but this office was set on fire as a result of which many Quran-Hadith, Islamic literature and valuable things kept here were burnt to ashes."

He also said in his speech that Allah has judged rightly. The tyrannical Sheikh Hasina fled the country with her gang due to the strong movement of the students and people which has not been seen in the history of the last 700 years. He called upon the assembled leaders and workers of Jamaat Leaders as well as workers to convey the noble ideals of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami to every house in Rangpur.
