The biennial council and election of the Qatar-Bangla Press Club was held in a festive mood at Royal Aqsa Restaurant in Doha Najma, Qatar.

14 journalists exercised their right to vote through ballots.

In this, Ekattor TV Correspondent Golam Mawla Hazari was elected President and News24 representative Mamunur Rashid was elected General Secretary in the 2025-26 election through direct voting by journalists.

Former founding president EM Akash and founding general secretary Akbar Hossain Bachchu were in charge of the organization and the Chief Election Commissioner was Yusuf Patwary Lincoln, a senior journalist, representative of Mohona TV. The election observer and chief guest announced the results.

The others in the 16-member committee are Senior Vice President Akbar Hossain Bachchu (Bangla TV, Vice President Amin Bepari (DBC News), Organizing Secretary Ahsan Ullah Sajib (SA TV), Treasurer Shakhawat Hossain Sagar (Nagorik TV), Office Secretary Shahriar Shamim (Global TV), Executive Member EM Akash (TBN24 TV), Executive Member Yusuf Patwari Lincoln (Mohana TV). In addition, the observation members are Mohiuddin Chowdhury, Dolon Khan, Mostag Ahmed Bappi, S Alam Sabuj, Md. Ismail Khan, Zisan Uddin and Maya Howlader.

Bangladesh Community President Anwar Hossain Akon, General Secretary Saiful Islam, Community Leader Syed Ana Mia, MM Nur, Abul Kashem, Norul Islam, Engineer Hossain, Mahbubur Rahman Babu and foreign journalists were present during the election observation.

The community leaders who arrived said, "This is the first time in Qatar that we have seen an organization choose representation through elections."
