Principal arrested for raping two madrasa girls in Kishoreganj

The. members of police on Thursday midnight have arrested a madrasa Principal named Moulona Md. Humayun Kabir on the charge of sexually abusing two female students (11) in Kishoreganj.
Accused Moulona Md. Humayon Kabir (50) , Principal of Modinia Mohila Madrasa.. He is a resident of Nanshree village in Karimganj upazila of Kishoreganj.
The locals and police saids that, two students studied in the residential boarding of Madinia Madrasa. The principal was giving them bad suggestions for three months. Humayun Kabir called these two children to his office room and closed the door at around 8 pm last Wednesday and sexually assaulted them. When the victim screamed, he grabbed them by the throat. Later they left the office and told the incident to the family members.
In this incident, the mother of one of the two female students became a plaintiff and filed a sexual assault case against the principal at Kishoreganj Model Police Station on Thursday night.
Victims mother said, 'Are children not safe even in Madrasas? We have sent the child to the Madrasa to increase knowledge in the path of Allah. But even there our children were not safe. Instead of teaching the way of Allah, they wanted to teach the devil. Don't let anyone else's children suffer like ours. If such incidents happen, people's confidence in madrasas will be lost.'
Kishoreganj Model Police Station OC Md. Golam Mostafa told the New Nation that, accused principal has been arrested. The CJM ordered him to be sent to jail when he was handed over to the court on Friday afternoon, OC added.
